EUGENIO “SOC” BISCOCHO – Chairman of the Board

Juan Magsino Biscocho pioneered life insurance in San Pablo and Nicanora Legaspi Biscocho a financier made enough money to raise Eugenio “Soc” Biscocho in San Pablo City. He completed his elementary at Our Lady of Fatima and high school at Ateneo de San Pablo. He became knowledgeable in Law at San Pablo Colleges. He graduated with dual degrees, in Management and Economics at San Beda College and Business Management at San Pablo Colleges. He took MA units in Public Administration at the University of California. His eight children, Viella, Ejon, Vincent, Alexa, Ashley, Djolo, Jeunesse, and Caitlin returned the favor with five grandchildren, Cassie, Gabbie, Isla, Mateo, and Zion. He was the Security Protocol Officer at La Guardia Airport in New York. Soc is the former Executive Vice President of the San Pablo City Association from 2018 to 2020 and a member of the board of directors from 2020 to 2022. Today he is enjoying his retirement with his beautiful wife, Jocelyn, who makes his love-life interesting.


VALERIANO LUGTI – President

Val is the former Vice President of the state of Maryland from 2018 to 2020 of San Pablo City Association. From 2020 until 2022, he is one of the board of directors. He is born in Calihan, San Pablo City. He studied High School at Ateneo de San Pablo. He finished his college education at San Pablo Colleges with a degree in BS Commerce, a Major in Accounting, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He was a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines. He worked with Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Co., for 5 years, and Pepsi Cola Products Philippines for 31 years. He retired from Pepsi as Vice President & Senior General Manager. He was also a part-time professor of Financial Management & Accounting at the University of Perpetual Help in Las Piñas. In the US, he is in the financial services business with Premier Financial Alliance and a Tax Analyst at H&R Block. He is married to Joan Prudenciano and has four grown-up children. They reside in Rosedale, Maryland.


LADY JAN JAUOD – Secretary

Lady-Jan ”I-ce” Jauod is the eldest daughter of Janice Jauod and Gladys Guanzon and a big sister to her 2 younger siblings. She is an adopted member of the San Pablo Association, a pioneer member of the San Pablo Journal committee, and is currently the secretary since 2020. 

In her younger years, she competed and won various awards in contemporary declamations, literary kundiman, Philippines folk dance, and sports. Her love and passion for playing volleyball made her way to represent Staten Island College in the City University of New York (CUNY) Good Will Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina 2006. 

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Nursing at Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod. She was the President of the Rotaract Club- CSA, College of Nursing Bacolod under the Rotary Club Bacolod District 3850. She is currently working as a patient representative and a pharmacy technician at a fertility pharmacy. She still aims to continue her education and become a Nurse Anesthesiologist.

This year, I-ce is crowned as the Reyna de las Flores of Catholic Action of Mary’s Santacruzan & Flores de Mayo. She also became Miss PACCAL of the Pan American Concerned Citizens Action League. She participated in numerous cultural events showcasing our traditional Filipiniana in the PAFCOM Independence Day Parade, Fiesta in America, and Filipino American Festical, Inc. (FAFI).


CRISTINA RECIDOCRUZ – Treasurer

Cristina Jordan Recidocruz is the daughter of Amador Baldoza Recidocruz from Taal and Corazon Jordan Recidocruz from Marinduque. She is born in San Pablo City and grew up in City Subdivision. She has two sons, Erl & Ervin, and is a grandmother to Sean Andrei and Adrienne Crizelle. She studied at Laguna College and worked at CC Technical Institute as a Clerk and a sub-teacher teaching basic computers. She also worked as an encoder in the Philippines Bureau of Internal Revenue for seven years. She was an officer of the San Pablo City Association from 2008, 2010, 2013, and 2018 to the present. She has been the efficient and reliable treasurer of the association since 2019. She lives in Brooklyn, New York, and currently works for Brooklyn South Health NYC HHC, formerly Coney Island Hospital.


ALMA GRACE AVANZADO – Board Member

Alma is the oldest daughter of the late Dr. Alvaro G. Avanzado Jr. & Dr. Rebecca P. Avanzado. Her grandparents are the late Dr. Alvaro B. Avanzado Sr. & Priscila Gamo-Avanzado, San Pablo Colleges professor. Alma has three children, Noel Jhoneil, Joel Jonathan, and Ariana Michael, and two granddaughters, Jherielle Alvara and Eliana Jheliene. She attended Canossa College in San Pablo City from kindergarten until high school. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, major in Advertising at The College of the Holy Spirit, Manila, Philippines.

Alma was president of The City of Seven Lakes, San Pablo City Association, East Coast Chapter USA from 2018 until 2020. She is the chairperson of the Board of Directors from 2020 until 2022. Alma has been advocating for parents and students in special education since 2006. In 2014, the Jersey City Board of Education appointed her as the Special Education Parent Advisory Council chairperson where she managed parent representatives of the district’s 41 schools until 2020.

Professionally, Alma is the Art Director for Pentek Inc. for 27 years until Mercury Systems acquired it in May 2021. With over 28 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, Alma handles the creatives used for sales and marketing, ensuring it maintains its brand identity in the high-tech engineering industry. Her designs have been featured on the industry’s magazine covers several times and have received recognition from Aerospace Military & Defense magazines. In October 2022, she received an Excellence in Graphic Design award from PACCAL (Pan-American Concerned Citizens Action League). Her creativity allows her to connect to people and provide creative services voluntarily as part of her community service.


PAUL SANTIAGO – Board Member

Paul is born in San Pablo City. His parents were Gabriel and Ana Santiago. He is the 6th child of eight brothers. He attended San Pablo Elementary School, then Ateneo de San Pablo for high school, and completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Manila, Philippines. He is married to Marlene Gozum from Pampanga. They have three sons; Alan has a degree in BS Health in Science and BS in Business, Dennis is an accountant, and Eric completed a degree in BS in Business (like his older brother) at a university in Albany, NY. Paul worked for the City of New York with the Health and Hospital Corporation. He has been with the company for 34 years. Paul is a member of the Asian-Pacific American Labor Alliance. He is the former Vice President of the state of New York from 2018 to 2020 of the San Pablo City Association and a member of the Board of Directors from 2020 to 2022. He lives in Valley Stream, New York, and enjoying his retirement with his wife traveling and taking care of their four grandchildren.


RUDY “BEBOT” SANTIAGO – Board Member

Bebot is a native of San Pablo City. He is the 5th son of eight male children of Gabriel and Ana Santiago. He grew up on Mabini Street in San Pablo City. His parents used to own a canteen close to the City Hall. He graduated grade school at San Pablo Elementary School and completed high school at Laguna College. He went to college at San Pablo Colleges as an undergraduate. Bebot migrated to New York in 1983 with his brother, Paul. He has two sons, Joseph and Ryan, and is a grandfather to Eli. He worked for Peninsula Hospital from 1989 until 2000. He is a former Sergeant-of-Arms officer of the San Pablo City Association from 2018 to 2022 and has been an active supportive member. Currently, he is enjoying his retirement by spending time with family and friends and works for West Lawrence Nursing Home in his spare time. He lives in Valley Stream, New York.


JOCELYN DANILA-SANTOS – Board Member

Jo is born and raised in San Pablo City. She is from City Subdivision. She is the fourth child and the only girl of Gloria Lantin and Serafin Danila. She completed her college education at Laguna College with the degree in Bachelor of Science, Major in Banking and Finance. For sixteen years, she worked for the Philippine Postal Corporation in San Pablo City. Jo has two children; Mark Anthony, a registered nurse, and Marion Joy, a tourism graduate. She is also a grandmother to two adorable girls, Maggie and Olivia. Jo resides in Belleville, New Jersey with her husband, Adrian. She currently works in Chatham, New Jersey for an Early Childhood Nursery School. Jo was the Vice President of the state of New Jersey from 2018 to 2020, and President from 2020 to 2022.


ELLA REDMAN – Board Member

Ella, a fun-loving avid globe-trotter, is an adoptive member and contributor of the San Pablo City Association. She is a nursing supervisor in the Intensive Care Units at Brooklyn South Health NYC HHC, formerly Coney Island Hospital. She completed her BS Nursing degree in Manila, Philippines, and worked for the Philippine General Hospital for two years. Then she migrated to the United States and worked as a registered nurse for 37 years. Her parents are from Ilocos Sur and she was born in Manila. She has two daughters, Jasmine – a certified registered nurse working in the surgical ICU and in school to be a nurse practitioner, and Natalee – a BS Psychology graduate who is serving our country in the U.S. Army Reserved and in school for radiology. She is married to the late Joseph Redman, a U.S. Navy veteran.
